Focus / L'Inp school – arts of fire section – workshop

17th June – 5th July 2019

An educational workshop on conservation and restoration of ceramics was organised by the National Heritage Institute and the Villèle historical Museum, in partnership with the Cultural Department of Reunion and the Léon Dierx art gallery.

Six students from the ‘Arts of fire, specialisation ceramics, glass and enamel’ section of the school successfully carried out several restoration operations on a set of ceramics selected by the curator of the Villèle historical Museum: initial study, restoration and curative conservation, followed by a report of the operation.

A professional operation representing an essential stage in the training of future restoration !
