Exhibition Un musée pour demain – in mizé pou tanto, pou talèr, pou domin:  A museum for tomorrow, a museum for now, for later, for tomorrow. Presentation of the model for the future museum of the estate and slavery & various events organised by Xavier Le Terrier around the atlas of slavery in Reunion (Kart lesklavaz dann bitasion). Map of slavery on the estate (first floor of the museum).

Guided tours

Presentation of the permanent collection on the ground floor of the main house given by the museum guides in Creole/ French/ English.

Creole tales

Association Kaloubadia, 6 20-minute sessions:  8 PM / 8.30 PM / 9 PM / 9.30 PM / 10 PM / 10.30 PM

An original tale based on a work by Christian Jalma (Floyd) and the fugitive slave Queen Raharianne.  It tells the story of a day’s odyssey in the year 1751, with Raharianne talking about her destiny… hymns dedicated to the sun, love and our island’s rivers… to children and to the peaks of the Maido and Anchin.... The performance is a homage to the wonderful fugitive Queen and all the descendants of Maroon slaves.

Kaf marron: 6 20-minute sessions (8 PM / 8.30 PM / 9 PM / 9.30 PM / 10 PM /10.30 PM)


Kaf Marron, a rising star of Reunionese music, a globetrotter passionate about music, is a devotee of  world music, drawing his inspiration from his roots as well as his travels.

7 PM-7:30 PM: Free interpretation of a picture adapted from an original work by Boris Gamaleya Le volcan à l’envers ou Mme Desbassayns, le Diable ou le Bondieu (The upside-down volcano or Mme Desbassayns, the Devil or God). Project created by the catering school of Plateau Caillou.

19h30-20h : Boris Gamaleya, Le volcan à l’envers ou Madame Desbassayns, le Diable ou le Bondieu, (The upside-down volcano or Mme Desbassayns, the Devil or God): theatre play adapted from the author’s work by year-12 pupils from the Victor Schoelcher high school in Saint-Louis, initiated by the artist David Erudel
