A heritage site located at the heart of the neighbourhood of Villèle, with a history that reflects the identity of the Reunionese territory, the Villèle historical museum has always applied a policy of opening out onto its immediate environment, alongside local and cultural associations, as well as the enlarged civil society. Through collective reflection and shared efforts, the history of the museum continues to be written in the present.
